You could go on an African Safari with Zoo Boise. The zoo has spots available to go to Gorongosa National Park in August. You can learn about how they are helping people and animals there.

An exhibit being built right now at Zoo Boise focuses on animals from the area.

This year, Mozambique was hit with a devastating cyclone so the zoo is also using this opportunity to raise awareness.

"You see what we're telling people about here for real. You'll get to see elephants, lions, and all of the great antelope of hoof-stock species and Gorongosa has a tremendous amount of bird species so it's a chance to really see this there," said Zoo Boise Director Gene Peacock.

The group will be heading to Africa in late August -- and it's not too late if you are interested in going. Head here for more information, Gorongosa Safari Trip
