BOISE, ID — Every holiday season, the Idaho Botanical Garden transforms into a winter wonderland. Winter Garden aGlow officially kicks off on November, 28th. Crews have been working on the displays since August. It includes more than 550,000 colorful lights, a train display, interactive displays, and more.

Tracy Lea Balmer, Idaho Botanical Garden events coordinator says interactive displays are in several places.

“You can come out and look at the lights, but you can rarely make the lights do something,” said Balmer.

Lindy Neufeld, a donor for the Idaho Botanical Garden says she has been coming to the events for years.

“I think to see how they change. I love going up on the top. Getting up on the hill by Sacajawea and just looking over the valley,” said Neufeld.

There will be a free night for military personnel and their families on December 10th. The event will be closed to the public. Winter Garden aGlow will run from Thanksgiving to January from 6 to 9 p.m. most nights.
