BOISE, ID — The Boise Bombers Wheelchair Rugby Team partnered with Boise Parks and Recreation to collect food donations and raise money for the Women's & Children's Alliance and the Boise Rescue Mission on Saturday.

The Treasure Valley Roller Girls, the Beet City Bombers, and some field rugby teams competed against the Boise Bombers.

One of the players says it means a lot to him to have this kind of a sport available for people with quadriplegia in the Treasure Valley.

"This is a great outlet for people with disabilities and all four limbs. We like to hold events like this where we can put able-bodied people in chairs and get them a chance to see what it's like," said Spencer Larimore, Boise Bombers team member.

The Boise Bombers compete in tournaments regularly. They practice at Fort Boise on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year.
