BOISE, Idaho — A woman died Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Chinden Boulevard and North Five Mile Road in Boise. The Ada County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 68-year-old Vicki Rovig of Boise.
The collision happened just before 3:30 p.m. when a sedan attempting to turn left was struck by an oncoming truck, according to police.
The female passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The two people in the truck were uninjured.
The crash closed Chinden Boulevard in both directions for several hours, but the road has since reopened.
