Air Quality Alert until MON 1:00 PM MDT Issued September, 19 2020 at 12:13 AM - US/Mountain expires September, 21 2020 at 1:00 PM - US/Mountain ...AIR QUALITY FORECAST AND CAUTION FROM THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY FOR CAMAS, GOODING, JEROME, AND TWIN FALLS COUNTIES... The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has extended an Air Pollution Forecast and Caution to notify residents of Camas, Gooding, Jerome, and Twin Falls Counties of degraded air quality. Due to wildfire smoke, health impacts may occur. Air quality is currently in the Moderate category and is forecast to be in the Moderate to Unhealthy categories. The pollutant of concern is Fine Particular Matter (PM2.5). Health Impacts and Recommended Actions: When air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups, sensitive persons may experience health effects and should limit prolonged or heavy exertion and limit time spent outdoors.
