BOISE, Idaho — Are you a caring person who likes helping other people?
If so, you might be a good fit for the nonprofit Trauma Intervention Program (TIP).
TIP serves as a resource to emergency responders.
It consists of neighbors who are willing to help out and offer emotional support in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy -- like a sudden death.
The group is looking for volunteers.
Participants undergo a 55-hour long training, and, once they are up to speed, they serve three, 12-hour on-call shifts per month.
The next academy is set for January 17.
