The Idaho State Veterans Cemetery is celebrating the holiday season by honoring those who have served-- with wreaths.

As a part of the "Wreaths Across America" remembrance ceremony, thousands of wreaths adorn the tombstones of departed veterans, placed by family and loved ones.

The families in attendance say they are proud to honor their loved ones and celebrate the holidays by paying their respects.

"We're just very proud of him, my father and we're glad to be here to be able to do this for him. We want to honor his name and the rest of the veterans that served and ensured our freedom," said attendee Jason Peterson.

Hundreds were in attendance Saturday, including both active and retired servicemen and servicewomen.
