Yotes picked to finish 6th in preseason poll

The College of Idaho was picked to finish sixth in the 2017 frontier conference preseason coaches’ poll, announced at league’s football media day at the Great Falls holiday inn.

The Coyotes, who return nine starters on both offense and defense, received 17 voter points from the eight coaches in the circuit.  C of I finished tied with Rocky Mountain.

Defending league champion, Montana Tech, received five first-place votes and was the preseason favorite with 47 points.

First-year players report to campus tomorrow; returning players return on Thursday – with the first practice of the fall season beginning at 9 a.M. On Saturday.

The Yotes open the 2017 campaign at Montana Western.
