Idaho men’s basketball is making the most of its first couple of days overseas, getting in some practice time and experiencing the local culture.
The men began with a trip to Duschu Lake Arena, the site of the opening round games in the Atlas Challenge. The team practiced on an official FIBA court for the first time.
After practice, the squad took a tour of a local silk factory where they learned how the silk was made and produced. The Vandals also got an opportunity to practice their calligraphy skills, learning to write their names in the ancient Chinese art.
The team begins play in the Atlas Challenge on Tuesday night against Lithuania. The game is scheduled for 9 p.m. local time, 7 a.m. in Boise.
