The Broncos even had some trickery against the Aggies with the help of junior wide receiver Cedrick Wilson. He threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to running back Jeremy McNichols in the first quarter. This was the first touchdown pass of his Bronco career.
Wilson also caught a 36-yard touchdown pass, becoming the second wide receiver this season to both catch and throw for a score.
“We have trick plays that we’ll keep in the entire year that will never get called. It has to be the right situation, but I was really hoping that we would get that one off,” said Quarterback Brett Rypien.
“Brett’s a little more with the coaches to know what’s coming up, so I just kind of react to it. I know we’re going to do it because we practiced it and I was just happy to do it. I just gotta work on the throw a little better because everybody was getting on me for the ball being wobbly,” said Wide Receiver Cedrick Wilson.
