There are fans and then there are super fans of the blue and orange, and no one shows greater support than Paul Venter who traveled all the way from South Africa to show his support for Boise State.
Paul Venter lives in Johannesburg, South Africa but after watching the Boise State football team take on Air Force 3 years ago on the beloved blue turf he hopped on a plane and took the one day and 2 hour flight and came to the city of tree to become a part of Bronco Nation. not the only playing into the one day and two hour flight to the city of trees become a part of Bronco Nation.
"The blue uniforms the blue field and then the crazy people. It was just like so insane to see people that are that rowdy. It was just electrifying and intoxicating. From then on I just keep getting more involved and following it and now it's what my parents call an obsession.”said, Venter.
While visiting his grandparents in Virginia Venter decided to extend the trip out west to see the blue turf for himself creating memories he'll never forget.
“I didn't know if I wanted to cry or whether I wanted to scream or shout or just stay there. I did not have any words.” said, Venter.
Since arriving in town Venter has explored all Boise State has to offer catching a basketball game and of course a massive of shopping spree to stock up on Bronco gear of his own. The die hard fan is already making plans for his next visit. Venter says he hopes to bring his wife and two kids to Boise and to see football at its best on the blue turf.
