Coaching changes are the hot topic of discussion on College football as of late and former Boise State offensive Coordinator Mike Sanford who currently is Notre Dame’s OC looks to be on the move to Western Kentucky to become head coach according to Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel.
Sanford has been in South Bend since 2015. This won’t be his first stop coaching the Hilltoppers as he coached them in 2010 as their quarterback coach.
He was Boise State’s quarterback from 2000 to 2004. WKU is set to face Memphis in the Boca Raton Bowl in Eight Days.
It’s worth mentioning that if the deal doesn’t come thru with Sanford there have been reports of Idaho Vandals Head Coach Paul Petrino to lead the program.
This season Petrino has guided the Vandals to an 8-4 overall record and their first bowl appearance since 2009.
Idaho will face Colorado State in this year's Potato Bowl on December 22nd.
