AthlonsSports.com showed some love to the NonPower-5 conferences and Boise State's quarterback Brett Rypien.
The site had the five mountain west football players to know for this upcoming season and Rypien was the only quarterback on the list.
This past season he won the Mountain West freshman of the year honors and was named Poinsettia Bowl Offensive MVP.
Rypien also was tabbed first team all-conference honors. In his first year with the program, he had over 3,300 yards passing and 20 touchdowns on just 8 interceptions.
Those numbers for Rypien could be even more this season with five out of the seven top receivers returning this coming season.
