The Rocky Mountain baseball team picked up their first state championship since 2012.
The Grizzlies beat Timberline 11-4 in the 5A State final at Borah High School. The team not only won state but this year's conference and district title.
The team was the first 5A SIC team that had swept all three championships since 2012 and it was also Rocky Mountain.
It was still a solid season for Timberline who upset the critics. The Wolves were picked sixth in the 5a-sic preseason poll and stayed consistent entering the title game for the second time in three years.
