Boise State gymnastics freshman Shani Remme has been a thing of wonder on the beam this year for Boise State. Remme finished the regular season tied for 61st on the balance beam in the country, this weekend she competes at nationals.
It has been a magical ride for Remme on the beam this season as she has earned a 9.8 or better in all 11 meets she has competed in this year and to think that she does all of this on just four inches.
“Over summer we practice constantly, it's all about repetition so we kind of get into a certain groove and you know how to work it,” Said, freshman Shani Remme.
“To have the nerves to get up there and do what Shani did this year really shows the kind of competitor she is,” Said, Co-Head Coach Neil Resnick.
its her fun spirited attitude along with an uncanny moon walk that's pretty close to Michael Jackson yet remmie might have him beat on the beam.
“I think it it's pretty similar i don't think he ever did it on a beam so its kinda hard to compare,” Said Remme.
Remme becomes the 10th Bronco in school history to qualify for nationals, her mark along with the Broncos going undefeated this season have put boise state on the map.
“Man Shani is money, I bet a month's salary on this beam routine even under that kind of pressure,” Said, Resnick.
Nationals begin this Friday in Fort Worth, Texas
