One position that Boise State fans could be a little concerned is running back as who will be the next great back to lead the program.
There are four running backs listed on the depth chart and of two of the same saw the field this past season
Senior Ryan Wolpin and Sophomore Alexander Mattison. Mattison should be the clear front runner appearing in 13 games and 4 touchdowns from a season ago.
However, Mattison has been limited this spring, due to having shoulder surgery. Wolpin in the meantime has taken extra reps and has climbed up the depth chart.
“When you seem out there he is the first one to roll out. He just knows what’s going on his. He's been here and done that for several years now. It’s time for him to really step up and be the guy that we can fully trust and be consistent, and know exactly what he is going to do,” said, Running Backs Coach Lee Marks.
