One week from Saturday, the Broncos will start on the road against the Ragin’ Cajuns. A big topic of discussion is whether or not safety Dylan Sumner-Gardner will play in week one.
Gardner did not make the trip last year to play in the bowl game due to his violation of team rules. Gardner plead guilty in February to a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. Gardner is returning from an ankle injury and Harsin has yet to confirm is the safety will play.
“We’re going through another week of practice and all that and just one thing with our injuries with our guys, we’re not going to talk about that. Certainly, if we have somebody on this team that is not going to be involved in something, or has a season ending injury, those conversations will be had. Those are normally game time decisions on what we’re going to do and where we’re going to go with that," said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin
