Steelheads forward Rob Linsmayer and goaltender Philippe Desrosiers were both honored by the ECHL on Thursday afternoon when the league announced the results of the 2015-16 Fantasy Team voting.
Linsmayer has been selected to represent the Idaho Steelheads for the 2015-16 ECHL Fantasy Team, presented by The Meigray Group, while Desrosiers was chosen to participate in the Golden Goalie Program.
The league named one skater and one goaltender from each of the league’s 28 teams to participate, after fans had the opportunity to help select the team with a fan vote on ECHL.com during December.
Linsmayer is in the midst of his best statistical season in his third full professional campaign. He leads the Steelheads with a career-high 32 points, currently sixth in scoring in the ECHL. He has 12 points in his past eight games.
The Steelheads return home to CenturyLink Arena to face the Tulsa Oilers on January 15th, the first game of a two-game set.
