The Idaho Vandals wrapped up the team’s first scrimmage inside the Kibbie Dome Saturday.  So far Coach Petrino is seeing strong strides for a team that has to replace three starters from the Potato Bowl Championship team.

Quarterback Matt Linehan missed all of last year’s spring practices due to an injury has already made leaps this spring adding 20 pounds during the offseason.

Linehan has also had time to check out extra film sessions and hopes it will pay off this fall.

"I think we did a lot of good things ‘I'm going to have to go back and watch the tape obviously and see where we can improve on.  I feel way more efficient I feel like I can understand concepts as good as anybody in Coach Petrino's offense.  To be honest with you I still feel like there is room for me to grow but I think compared to my growth the last couple of years this is the most comfortable I've felt with this offense," said, Senior Quarterback Matt Linehan.
