The Steelheads head into the final nine games on their regular season schedule. Idaho’s magic number to clinch a playoff spot is six points gained or lost by the Missouri Mavericks.
Over the weekend the Steelheads earned six of an available ten points during their five-game homestand.
The steelheads will make the playoffs with any combination of six points. Every time Idaho wins, they move 2 points closer. Anytime Missouri loses, Idaho Moves 2 points closer.
If Missouri loses in OT or Idaho loses in OT, Idaho moves one point closer.
“It’s important that we are peaking at the right time and playing the right way moving into the postseason, If the focus is the three-game series with Wheeling this week and we keep winning series it takes care of itself,” said, Head Coach Neil Graham.
