Over on the ice, the Steelheads took the ice for the first time this season. The team will hold 8 practices and two exhibition games against the Utah Grizzlies during that time.
The Steelheads' camp roster lists 21 players with 8 returners from last years squad. Coach Graham is hoping to have more explosiveness this season with the group that he has assembled.
"I think more than anything in day one you just want to identify that speed and pace that we want to play. This season a lot of the drills a lot of the structure was based off that and getting our feet moving and heading up the ice. It's important to come back and keep that mentality and that same speed for tomorrow," said Head Coach Neil Graham.
