The Idaho Vandals won on the road against the Louisiana-Lafayette picking up their 5th win of the season.
One more victory and they will become bowl eligible for the first time since 2009. The defense was the difference maker giving up just 266 total yards of offense.
Quarterback Matt Linehan was 20 of 30 for 227 yards passing and with the win Idaho is tied for third place in the Sun Belt Conference.
“This was huge it was a great team victory. I told the team afterward I thought the first half the offense might have played the best half of football we have played all year. We’ve been thinking to play in a bowl game since the season started, to be honest. That's been our goal,” said, Head Coach Paul Petrino.
