Today at Head Coach Bryans Harsin’s press conference a big topic of discussion was whether the team should promote they're running back Jeremy McNichols for a chance at winning the Heisman Trophy.
This year McNichols has 22 rushing touchdowns on nearly 1600 yards on the ground. Overall he has 26 touchdowns which rank him 1st nationally.
This week he was named Mountain West Player of the week for the 4th time this season for his efforts in Friday night's performance against UNLV. McNichols rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns.
It was McNichols’ third 200-yard rushing game this season, making him the only Bronco in school history to achieve that feat, and his ninth 100-yard game, tied for most in the Mountain West.
As far as promoting the tailback Coach Harsin says is effort should speak for itself.
“I don’t know what else he has to do, look at his stats. If Anybody that is watching and following college football how is this guy not in the conversation with everybody else. I don't get it. You're a college football fan and you know what you are looking at look at the stats and he hasn't just done this one year his done it for the last couple years," said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
