The Wait will finally be put to bed this Saturday as the season kicks off for the Boise State Broncos. The team will square off against Louisiana-Lafayette. Comparing the team on paper it looks as if the Broncos should have no problems but the Cajuns do have some talent on the offensive side.
Quarterback Anthony Jennings transferred from LSU to play for the Cajuns. He went 9-4 as a starter for the Tigers in 2014. On the ground attack, they have a formable running back with Elijah Mcguire who is the only active NCAA player with 3,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving. Coach Harsin has stated stopping these two needs to be the goal.
“Certainly, the question mark is Anthony Jennings I’ve had a chance to watch a few of his clips when he was at LSU and you watch him play he certainly can run, he certainly has the size and he can throw the football. Their running back this guy I just look at the stats he’s on every watch list, was a player of the year in 2014. To have those two guys in the backfield is certainly going to put the pressure on any team they play,” said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
Coach Harsin also said there is no major injuries to report and the team will leave Thursday.
