There were plenty of off-season changes for the team including a handful of new additions.

One of those faces is Spencer Danielson. He is a graduate assistant and he is in the first year at Boise State and he has already hit the ground running.

Danielson started his coaching career at Azusa Pacific where spent the last three seasons as a Linebacker Coach.

So far thru spring, he has already earned praise from Coach Harsin.  Harsin says Danielson has teamed up well with Defensive Coordinator Andy Avalos

“Those guys do an awesome job working with the coaches and players to make sure we are getting the most out of each meeting in practice every time we go out on the field,” said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.

This spring Danielson was in charge of the stud group, it’s something he can relate to finishing his time at Azusa Pacific as the squad’s third leading tackler.  That attitude and knowledge having a big impact on his Bronco players.

“He's done a great job you know.  He has been a position coach and he has had his own room, he is coaching the STUDS right now and he is running that room and is leading that group,” said, Harsin.

It can be a grind to be a graduate assistant the job comes with long hours and little pay.  For the ones that stick it out the reward can be huge.

“You better love this to be a graduate assistant.  I think all those guys do and they did a really good job,” said, Harsin.
