The NFL draft is fast approaching and defensive lineman Kamalei Correa decided to leave Boise State early and join the draft. If ESPN’s draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr’s projection on Correa holds up he could be cashing in big time.
Kiper released his NFL mock draft list last Thursday and he has Correa going 29th overall to the Arizona Cardinals.
Correa was only at BSU for 2 ½ years and left this past season after the Poinsettia Bowl. He led the Mountain West in sacks as a Sophomore in 2014. In the bowl game against Northern illinois he was named the defensive MVP.
“When he pins his ears back he is a tough guy to deal with off of the edge. He is fast off the edge and has power off the edge. He has the attitude and aggressive qualities you love. He's a good football player, i think very underrated. I gave him to Arizona if they want a pass rusher. If they had Leonard Ford from Georgia or Correa from Boise State i give them Correa.” said ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr.
