The Boise State women's team is a young squad having just one upperclassman and the rest of the team are freshman and sophomore’s.

One of the freshmen is Lilian Poling who was part of last year's top 25 recruiting class.

Tennis runs deep in her family. Her father is the men's tennis coach at Army. She says she has embraced the other cultures on the team and is glad to be playing in the city of trees.

“Like sometimes I forget that it's not just America. There's a lot of other places and totally different ideas about culture.  Just learning about that and hearing first hand how people grew up in places. Where they started playing tennis or how they were coached all those different things. It's interesting to learn about.”
