It wasn’t a runaway victory for the Broncos last night at Albertsons Stadium but the Boys in Blue will take it. Boise State took home a win last night, 21 to 10 against Utah State.
The defense came to play limiting Utah State to just 3 for 18 on third downs. The Aggies did have nearly 360 yards of offense but were below the team’s average by nearly 30 yards.
The Broncos did not force a turnover but did bring all kinds of pressure last night.
“I certainly get fired up when we play very good on defense, and I thought tonight we did. We were able to get them on third downs. I don’t think they had a very good night on third downs tonight and that’s what you want to see from your defense and those guys stepped up. They had their backs against the wall on a couple of drives,” said Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
Four teams that were ahead of the Broncos in ranking lost last night, which moved Boise State up to 19th in both the Coaches and Associated Press Polls.
