The past two days the Boise State Football team have taken up playing a new sport with softball at Memorial Stadium. Along with playing the new sport the team also helped raise money for the Team Harsin program.
The Broncos took part in a home run derby, the finals saw Linebacker Joe Martarano square off against kicker Tyler Rausa. Rausa put a good contest hitting 15 total home runs but the former minor leaguer of the Chicago Cubs organization Martarano won the derby smashing 16 home runs.
After the home run, derby both the offense and defense played a six-inning softball game. The offense would win that 12 to 4.
