In recent years Boise State has a solid effort from true freshman running backs.  This upcoming season, we might some more of that in the backfield with Danny Smith and Andrew VanBuren.

As of now, the Broncos have 3 scholarship tailbacks with junior Alexander Mattison. Senior Skyler Seibold who is transitioning from safety and sophomore Robert Mahone.

Freshman Drake Beasley left the program last month and with his absence Coach, Harsin says the two new freshmen will get plenty of action this fall.

"We are approaching it that both are playing just because you never know Skyler Seibold moving over to that side has really helped us.  He is a guy that can really play and he will help us. Danny Smith is on campus. Andrew VanBuren looks good. They are coming in here with the mindset of playing whether we do remains to be seen," said Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
