Broncos lose to New Mexico

Leading by 15 with six minutes remaining in Wednesday’s game it appeared the Boise State men’s basketball team was headed for a win.

Then, New Mexico finished the game with a 19-2 run to beat the Broncos 80-78.

As New Mexico poured it on, the Broncos made just one shot from the field and missed all three free throw attempts in the last 5:21 of the game.

Anthony Drimic led the way for the Broncos with a game-high 30 points.  He also hit the 267th three-pointer of his career to pass Coby Karl for most in school history.

James Webb III had 18 points and 13 rebounds to secure his 10th double-double this year.

Boise State (17-10, 8-6) takes a break this weekend.  They host UNLV in a late game Tuesday night.  The game tips off at 9 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
