The Boise State Broncos saw their season come to an end last night in Round 2 of the NIT against Illinois. The fighting Illini won 71 to 56.
BSU will say goodbye to three seniors but for the fans and current players, there should be plenty of excitement heading into next season.
The Broncos were able to reach 20 wins for the fifth consecutive season and wrapped up Mountain West conference play in third two spots higher than they were projected to finish in the preseason poll.
The team will say goodbye to Nick Duncan who became the third player in school history to hit three-pointers in 100 different games. His 250 three pointers in his career finished him 4th all time.
From there, the blue and orange will also say adios to James Reid who might have played only one season but was the team's best three-point shooter all season long.
Boise State should be bringing back their leading scorer with Chandler Hutchison unless it decides to forgo his season year and go play professional basketball.
Hutchison put up 557 points and 250 rebounds becoming just the second player in school history to do so.
Along with Chandler, three guards will be back in the mix with Alex Hobbs Justinian Jessup and Marcus Dickinson.
Guard Paris Austin will return calling plays next season he had nearly 400 points this past season.
At the post position, Robin Jorch, David Wacker, and Zach Haney will still be in the fold. Next season expectations will be even higher for the group to win the conference, avoid the NIT and play in the NCAA tournament.
