Boise State junior guard Chandler Hutchison has plans to enter the 2017 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent.
By not hiring an agent, Hutchison remains eligible to return to the Broncos for his senior season. By declaring for the draft he can be invited to workouts with NBA teams and Hutchison may workout for each of the 30 NBA teams once per year.
The California native averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds last season and scored in double figures in all but three games.
Hutchison commented on his decision to enter his name into the draft.
“Our coaches have informed me that NBA teams are expressing interest, and I feel that I need to take advantage of the opportunity to be evaluated and find out where I truly stand,” Hutchison said. “Playing in the NBA is the goal that drives me every day and this process is the next step toward making it a reality.”
The NBA draft is set for June 23rd.
