Boise State returned to the win column Wednesday night beating San Jose State 94 to 69 at Taco Bell Arena.

James Webb III scored 24 points in the win.  He also snagged 18 rebounds, a career high, giving him his seventh double-double this season.

“We had a team meeting after the San Diego State loss and coach Rice just asked us to do more. I figured, why not go after every single ball? It’s hard to go for the rebound every single time, but I just did my best to get in the best possible position to grab a board,” Webb said after the game.

Nick Duncan also scored 24 points and hit six three pointers in the first half.

Broncos Head Coach Leon Rice says he was happy with the team’s play following Saturday’s loss.

“Well you hope the message is getting through to them. You never know, they’re college kids. The focus was on us. The focus was on us improving and us getting better at the things that we need to get better at. We only have five home games left. That’s crazy, we have to cherish that. You’ve got to go out play well, let it rip and let the chips fall. I feel like we did that for a lot of minutes tonight.”

The Broncos (14-5, 5-1) now head to Wyoming for a 2 p.m. tipoff Saturday against the Cowboys.  The game will be shown on ESPN3.
