Today Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien was asked the comparison that he has between his uncle and former Bronco QB Kellen Moore.
Rypien’s Uncle Mark won two Super Bowls with the Washington Redskins and also played quarterback for Wazzu and Kellen Moore went down as one of the all-time greats to play for Boise State.
Rypien had a solid week one performance throwing for over 300 yards. His focus is now on a team that he grew up cheering for the Washington State Cougars. The Cougars are still licking their wounds after losing their season opener against Eastern Washington. With that said though the Broncos lost their final two games of the regular season at home.
"We're on a two-game losing streak on the blue it something we have talked about a lot. We're getting back to protecting the blue but like I said it feels weird right now but once I get out there it's just going to be another game and another opponent,” said, Quarterback Brett Rypien.
