The Boise State men’s basketball team will play tomorrow evening in Champaign Illinois for the second round of the NIT. The Broncos are looking for their second post-season win.
Illinois made a splash Saturday afternoon after hiring a new head coach: Brad Underwood. Underwood left Oklahoma State for Illinois after just one season.
Illinois was solid in their NIT opener against Valparaiso, winning 82 to 57. With the win and a new coach, the Broncos are bringing their A-game, according to Head Coach Leon Rice.
“We’ve got challenges all over the place, no question,” said Head Coach Leon Rice. “They are a big ten team and they have some great wins. They’ve got really good players and boy did they play hard in their last game. I think they look terrific. We’ve got our hands full, with traveling back there and a home game for them. We will be fighting for our lives no question.”
