Boise State men’s basketball will travel to Costa Rica for a foreign tour Aug. 11-16, in preparation for the 2016-17 season. The trip will include international competition, cultural experiences and various team-building activities.

The Broncos will play games against teams from Costa Rica and Canada from Aug. 12-14. The trip will be based in Costa Rica’s capital city of San Jose, which will be the site of all games. The team will spend its downtime diving into the culture and history of the Central American country. The final destination will be the coastal town of Playa Herradura.

The last time Boise State embarked on a foreign tour was in 2007 on a Labor Day weekend trip to Canada. That trip kick started the 2007-08 season which culminated in a WAC Tournament title and trip to the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
