Boise State football has unveiled its schedule for the 2016 season.
The Broncos will celebrate a number of milestones this year including the 30th anniversary of its blue turf, the 100th birthday of former coach Lyle Smith and the 10th anniversary of the 2006 team's Fiesta Bowl victory.
The Broncos will kick things off on the road against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in Lafayette on Saturday, Sept. 3rd.
On Sept. 10th the Broncos host Washington State in the home opener.
Following a bye week the Broncos hit the road again to play their second Pac-12 opponent in a row squaring off against Oregon State in Corvallis on Sept. 24th.
Boise State opens up Mountain West play when Utah State comes to Albertsons Stadium on October 1st.
The Broncos play New Mexico in Albuquerque on Oct. 8th, then play two in a row at home against Colorado State on Oct. 15th and BYU on Oct. 20th.
Boise State wraps up the final five weeks of the season at Wyoming on Oct. 29th, home against San Jose State on Nov. 5th, on the road against Hawaii on Nov. 12th, home against UNLV on Nov. 18th, and will end the regular season at Air Force on Nov. 26th
The Mountain West Championship Game is scheduled for December 3rd. It will be hosted by the division with the highest ranked champion.
Dates can still change and kickoff times won’t be released until the Mountain West television schedule is finalized.
