Skyline was able to beat Bishop Kelly 50-49 as Carson Lott caught a 20-yard touchdown pass with 19 seconds left in the game of the 4-A State Championship at Albertson Stadium.
Lott then sealed the deal for Skyline as he hauled in a two-point conversion to lift his team over Bishop Kelly in the 4-A State Championship.
This is the first time since 1992 that Skyline has a won a state title, and it also dashes away from the Knights chances of going to a four-peat.
Before the two squared off BK had won 19 games in a row against 4a competition.
