Riding horses and skiing can both be fast sports, but they don’t normally go together, but they do in Bellevue.

"Skijoring, this is a great sport," said Rick Farnsworth, rider from Bozeman, MT.

Skiers are pulled by a horse.

"I’ve heard it’s totally crazy and fast but we’re excited. We like horses. We like skiing,” said Emily Zell, Hailey, ID

The team rides through a course of gates, jumps, and hoops as fast as they can.

“I seen it in Bozeman four years ago and I've always been a horse guy and always owned horses so I said to myself, you’re going to do that we were off and running. I got another thorough bred horse for big long track and for short tracks, I got the black cheese here, we’re having a blast,” said Farnsworth.

Farnsworth says he goes to events every weekend starting in January.

The sport attracts all experiences.

“We figured out, it is an intense sport. There are people, professionals all over the place. Last time I skied was in middle school,” said Mary Lovingfoss, skier, Burley, ID.

"It’s been a great time. Yesterday we didn’t do so well, we crashed all four of us,” said Brogan Schaeffer, Burley, ID

“What’s your favorite part about this?" "Skiing," said Jennings Fraser.

“It is so fast and exciting. If you blink an eye, you almost miss it,” said Mary Anderson.

The national finals are in Red Lodge Montana in March.
