BOISE — Tuesday, the Boise City Council voted to approve the 2020 impact budget. The fiscal budget is expected to be finalized in August after three readings.

City of Boise representative, Mike Journee says it was the most people he has seen speak at a budget hearing. Several residents spoke about issues including growth, parks, the fire department, and water renewal. A woman who represents the South Cole Neighborhood Association believes southwest Boise needs more parks.

"This is where my family and I live out and a lot of our neighbors and our friends out in this area and what happens a lot of the times in these cases we’re using our resources loading up the car going across town to a park that actually has playground equipment, shade, and shelter,” said Kathy Corless.
