Coroner: Father and two sons among four killed in fatal Meridian crash

NAMPA, Idaho — Ada County Coroner on Monday released the names of those killed in the fatal crash Friday evening.

David Humberto Fernandez, 48, of Nampa, the driver of Nissan Titan and his two sons, Tre Fernandez, 24, and David Aaron Taylor Fernandez, 22, occupants of the Nissan Titan involved in the two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred on Friday, February 8, 2019, died of blunt force injuries due to the crash.

Brian Walter, 61, of Middleton, the driver of the ford f250 pick-up truck, died from blunt force trauma due to the collision on Cherry Lane in Meridian.

This case is under investigation by the Ada County sheriff’s office.

Police say four people have died and another person has life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say a Ford 250 pickup going eastbound on W. Cherry Lane collided with a Nissan Titan pickup, which was pulling a trailer and going westbound, just after 7:30 pm.

It is unclear which truck crossed over, but police say the collision was devastating.
