Are you a peanut-lover in search of a new job that enables you to travel the country? Planters is hiring nine people to drive its NUTmobile around the United States and represent the Planters brand through media appearances, interviews and visits in communities.

Drivers are known as Peanutters and receive a salary as well as paid expenses, benefits and clothing. The position is described as “self-managed with many responsibilities.” And of course, the opportunity to drive around in the NUTmobile is a super-fun job perk as well. The job lasts one year beginning in June 2020.

Planters took to Instagram to announce this exciting opportunity with a photo of three people standing in front of the nut-themed vehicle:

“While Mr. Peanut is no longer with us, the NUTmobile isn’t going anywhere,” reads the caption, referring to the company’s recent decision to “kill off” (and then resurrect) the brand’s mascot, Mr. Peanut. “Our deadline to apply has been extended to Feb. 5th. Apply now to keep his memory alive. #RIPeanut”

In a commercial that aired during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2, Mr. Peanut perished at the age of 104 in an automobile accident, and in a later spot, he was reborn as “Baby Nut.”

Check it out in the Instagram video below:

In order to be considered for the NUTmobile-driving roles, candidates must have a BA or BS degree, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising or marketing. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as well.

The company is looking for people who are outgoing, creative, enthusiastic and friendly with a “big appetite for adventure.” If you’re a little “nutty,” all the better!

If you think you have what it takes, applications are being accepted through Feb. 5, and you can send your resume by email to or by snail mail to the mailing address listed in the application instructions.

Every skyline should have a giant peanut, right?

If you’re more of a hot dog fan than a peanut person, you may have heard of Oscar Mayer’s recent hunt for drivers of the Wienermobile. The brand was seeking 12 new “Hotdoggers” to travel the country and “meat” other hot dog lovers. The deadline to apply was Jan. 31, so now we’ll have to wait and see who is chosen to represent the hot dog brand on the open road.

For a fun throwback that combines both “mobiles,” check out this Instagram photo from last fall featuring the dearly departed Mr. Peanut posing with both the Wienermobile and the Planters NUTmobile:
