People are not the only ones affected by the unhealthy air. Zoo Boise is keeping a close eye on their animals, and they have already moved one bird inside. Zoo officials say "Andy," an Alexandria Parakeet, is sensitive to smoky conditions. So far, the other animals have been okay.

"Multiple times days we are checking on the animals," said Steve Burns of Zoo Boise.

"The zoo has a full-time veterinarian, so we can have the vet check the animal out very quickly if we need to do that." None of the zoo's animals have any respiratory illnesses. Andy will be staying inside until the smoke clears.
