Nampa – Nampa Police are investigating a shooting at the Wal-Mart parking lot on the corner of N. Idaho Center Boulevard and Franklin Road.

Police say the call came in around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday night.  Officers on scene tell 6 On Your Side they believe at least 5 shots were fired.

After the initial shots fired call was reported, Police say they received another call that a young woman was shot at the Chevron across the street from the Wal-Mart.

When officers arrived at the Chevron they found a juvenile female with a gunshot wound. The young girl was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Nampa Police Officers say they believe she was hit with a stray bullet.

Police have a single male in custody and are questioning him.  They say they found a handgun on that male.

Investigators are looking for a group of males in a black sports car that were in a fight around the time the shooting occurred, then left the scene before officers arrived.
