The games at Rhodes Park are in downtown Boise for the next two days as athletes are competing for a chance to qualify for this year's X Games in Minneapolis.
In all, there are more than 50-world class skateboarders and BMX riders are shredding in Boise.
Six on your side spoke with long time professional skater Dan Rogers who is currently signed with Element.
Rogers says Boise is the perfect venue to host the X Games and he's impressed by the quality of Rhodes skate park.
"The skate facility that you guys have is all time like I have friends that judge contests all around the country that's all they do for Zumiez they say this is the best park right now in the United States of America and its located in Boise Idaho. Not exactly the hub of skateboarding. We all know this used to be a seedy area and it's being regulated now but skateboarders to clean it up on their own terms, you know they come here they skate they do what they love and in the meantime some of the riff rafts are kinda getting shooed away," said, Former Professional Skater Dan Rogers
