Heavy snow and fog in the Treasure Valley are causing near white-out conditions, snarling the morning commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the upper Treasure valley/Boise area until 5 p.m. Monday.
Idaho State Police dispatchers report only “a few crashes or slide-offs along the Interstate, with no injuries reported. Nothing major,” between Boise and Nampa.
In Ada County, dispatchers are reporting some 25 crashes and 9 slide-offs, mainly due to the icy road conditions.
Some drivers have reported to the On Your Side newsroom that their morning commutes are taking almost twice as long, due to the hazardous driving conditions.
