First Friday: Live Work Create District

A new season begins in the Surel Mitchell Live Work Create District in Garden City featuring over 20 venues and more artists from the Riverside Hotel to a collection of artists in the Midtown Business Park on 37th Street. Venues also include Door #3, Garden City Projects, Cadillac Matt's, Push and Pour, Corridor Surf Shop, Studio 1212, Studio 3041, The Visual Arts Collective, the Waterfront District Community Center, the Yardarm, and Zion Warne Glass. Boise State First Friday Astronomy Event

June 1st, 2018 | 6PM - 10PM

Join the Boise State Physics Department to hear Prof. Daryl Macomb of Boise State Physics speak about blazars and how data collected at Boise State’s own Challis Observatory are helping unravel their mysteries. After the presentation, weather permitting, you'll stargaze on the rooftop of the Science and Education Building at the Boise State Observatory. More info here!

 

37th Annual Boise Greek Food Festival
June 1st & 2nd, 2018 | 11AM - 9PM

Check out the 37th annual Greek Food Festival, where the folks at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church will serve up gyros, salads, spanakopita, dolmathes, Cretan-style rice and more. If there's room left over, finish with something from the selection of desserts like baklava, kataifi, koulourakia and galaktoboureko. Don't worry: You can work it off, because every day of the festival there will be lessons and live performances of classic Greek dances! More info here!

 

Bogus Open for Summer

Open Friday - Sunday | 11AM - 7PM
The snow has melted and the sun is shining, summer is here! Enjoy activities like, the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, Deer Point Chairlift, Double R Ranch BBQ Smokehouse, and all trails will be open. Dust off that bike and grab your friends, summer fun is here! Operating hours are Friday through Sunday, 11AM - 7PM until June 22nd. Surrounded by the waters of the beautiful Esther Simplot Park, a revolving roster of local talent will be playing live music while fun, food, local vendors, and family unite! Garden Cinema: Alice in Wonderland

The Idaho Botanical Garden is bringing back the summer drive-in atmosphere with Garden Cinema. Bring a blanket and come out to the Garden as we host a variety of movies on the giant-outdoor-big-screen. Come early to enjoy a picnic dinner in the Garden. Vendors on site offer dinner, adult refreshments, and movie snacks. Gates open at 8 and this week’s movie “Alice in Wonderland” starts at dusk. More info here!

 

Bubble RUN

If you’ve done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit lackluster. But the Bubble RUN is like running through Willy Wonka's factory. Clad in white t-shirts, adults, kids and strollers run, walk, dance and play across 3 miles of absolute fun! Snake River Raptor Fest

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. This free and family friendly festival hosted by the Birds of Prey NCA Partnership will include field trips, live raptors, activities for kids and adults, live music, food trucks, local artists and vendors, information booths for partner groups and sponsors, short talks on the NCA and its wildlife and cultural resources, wine from Indian Creek Winery, and Lost Grove beer. Apart from actively touring the country with his standup, Pauly is working on a documentary of his life that spans the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s and has a role in the upcoming Adam Sandler movie ‘Sandy Wexler’ streaming on Netflix. He is currently in production for a Funny or Die sketch he co-wrote called "Silver Lake Vice Squad" and is also cutting a documentary series based off his 2014 film "Pauly Shore Stands Alone." Paramounts Original Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular
