For 89 years, Meridian residents have congregated to celebrate Meridian’s dairy industry. Meridian Dairy Days starts June 20th with the 69th annual Meridian Dairy Days Princess Pageant and runs until June 23rd. Highlights of the 89th Meridian Dairy Days include Brown’s Amusement Carnival, the 68th annual Pancake Feed and The ‘Real Dairy’ Parade. Organizers are planning for 100 floats and roughly 25,000 to 30,000 parade attendees. More info here!

Return of the Red Caboose at Nampa Depot

The Nampa Train Depot is proud to be unveiling the Union Pacific 1942 Caboose. The four year restoration project is complete and a big celebration is in store. Starting Friday night the festivities kick off in a 1940’s themed party with speakeasy atmosphere. A live swing band will be performing Friday night and you can dress up in your best gangster outfits. Saturday events kick off at 8am with the Rotary Pancake Breakfast. Then at 11am the return of the red caboose begins with the ribbon cutting and a brass band. Take a step back in time to 1942 and see how the railroad operated and worked in our fully restored caboose. More info here!

Climb Out of the Darkness is the world’s largest event raising awareness of pregnancy and postpartum mental health disorders. Women and men who are survivors of postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder and psychosis will walk, stroll or climb together to symbolize their collective rise out of the darkness as well as to raise funds for the Idaho State Chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI).
