Arc Idaho’s 8th Annual Sprout Film Festival

The Sprout Film Festival focuses exclusively on films that celebrate the diverse lives and creativity of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to challenge assumptions and break down stereotypes. By introducing powerful, thought-provoking films from around the world to new and ever-more inclusive audiences, sponsors hope to promote greater acceptance, celebrate difference and light the spark to help make the invisible, visible. Stretch Break Yoga

Come and stretch your cares away on Fridays! Instructor, Wyndi Shaffner will teach a blend of different styles of yoga to include all levels from beginning to advance. Work on low impact strengthening, balance, coordination, breathing, mindful movements and stress reduction. Participants will learn basic yoga poses, sun salutations, breathing techniques and relaxation methods. Have fun together working on your balance, stress reduction and strength. More info here!

 

Steven Nelson Benefit Concert

The Benefit Concert for the Steven Nelson Emergency Fund supports LGBT students at Boise State facing family abandonment, eviction, or unemployment after coming out and benefits one of the only funds of its kind in Idaho. Come enjoy a show for all ages featuring Cherie Buckner-Webb, Denimm Cain, the Starbelly Dancers, and many more! Paranormal Investigation at The Bishops’ House

Idaho Humane Society's 4th Annual Pooch Pageant

The Idaho Humane Society is proud to announce the 2018 Pooch Pageant. This year they will have 2 groups, the "Natural" will be your pooch with collar and leash only, these pooches pass up the glamour and glitz to show you natural is the way they roll. "Glitz" you can go all out, dress up your pooch as much as you want, you can dress up to! Be as creative as you like. Both groups 1st and 2nd runner up will receive a trophy and sash. Idaho State Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Planting

April 27th, 2018 | 10AM - 12PM

State Controller Brandon D. Woolf will lead the ceremony. Students who submitted the winning photos in the 2018 Arbor Day photo contest will receive their awards. The ceremony will conclude with the planting of a Kwanzan cherry tree at Capitol Park. More info here!

 

El Dia de los Niños (The Day of the Children)

Join the Silverstone Branch Libraryin Meridian to Celebrate El Día de los Niños - The Day of the Children. Activities will include performances by Mariachi Tleyotlzin and Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo Idaho! Enjoy face painting, free books, a photo booth, and more! 6th Annual Concert/Trashion Art Show for Idaho Rivers

It's a performance show, an Earth friendly art show and a silent auction, all for a great local cause.
